1. Data Protection and Security

The owners of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personally identifiable information as confidential, in conformity with the statutory data protection provisions and this data privacy policy.

The Controller, responsible for processing data on this website, as defined in General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Bundesdatenschutzgesetzes (BDSG 2018), is HANNING ELEKTRO-WERKE GmbH & Co. KG, Holter Straße 90, 33813 Oerlinghausen, Germany.

In general, our website may be used without providing any personally identifiable information. If personally identifiable information is collected on our pages (for example: name, address or e-mail address), this is always done on a voluntary basis to the extent possible. This information will not be disclosed to any third party without your express permission.

This site uses SSL encryption to ensure secure transmission of confidential data, such as requests, you send to us. You can recognize the encrypted connection, when the url-adress changes from “http://” to “https://” and the padlock symbol appears in the status bar of the browser window. If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transfer to us cannot be read by third parties.

We would like to point out that online data transfer (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security loopholes. A seamless protection against access by third parties is not possible.

3. Server-Log-Files

The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

- Browser type, browser version
- Operating system used
- Referring URL
- Host name of the accessing computer (IP address)
- Time of the server query

The data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO for the purposes of our legitimate interests to ensure the stability and functionality of our website. The IP address may be further processed for the purpose of web analysis services (see also clause Web Analysis Service Matomo), to verify your consent by obtaining the newsletter (see also clause Newsletter) or by visiting individual websites, into that Google Maps or YouTube are embedded (see also clause Tools, Plug-ins and Other). We reserve the right to subsequently inspect these data should specific evidence of unlawful use become apparent to us.

4. Web Analysis Service Matomo

This website uses the web analysis service software Matomo (www.matomo.org), provided by InnoCraft Ltd., 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand, („Matomo“) to collect and store data, based on our legitimate interests in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR, for the statistical evaluation of visitor access for marketing and optimization purposes. This data is used to create and process user profiles under a pseudonym with the aid of cookies. Cookies are small text files that are saved locally in the cache of your Internet browser and allow to recognize the browser. The data collected using the Matomo technology (including your pseudonymized IP address) are processed on our server. The information generated by the cookie in the pseudonymous user profile is not used to identify the user of this website personally and is not combined with personal data of the bearer of the pseudonym.

If you do not want this data from your visit to be stored and analyzed, you can object by clicking the following button. In this case an Opt-Out-Cookie will be placed to prevent Matomo from storing data. Please note that by deleting your cookies also the Opt-Out-Cookie will be deleted and has to be activated again on your next visit.

5. Tools, Plug-ins and Other

Google Web Fonts
For the purposes of a coherent presentation of typefaces this website uses so called Web Fonts, which are provided by Google Inc. (Google). When visiting a website your browser downloads the requested Web Fonts into your browser caches to display texts and fonts correctly. If your browser does not support Web Fonts, a standard typeface from your computer will be used.

Google Maps
This website uses Google Maps (API), operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Maps is a web-based service to visually present geographical information.

By visiting the individual website, into that Google Maps is embedded, information regarding your visit (e.g. your IP address) is transmitted to and stored on servers, belonging to Google in the USA. This happens regardless of whether Google provides an account that you are logged in, or if no user account exists. If you are logged into Google, your data is mapped directly to your account.

If you do not want the mapping to your profile on Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as profiles and evaluates the data. Google processes your personal data in the United States and has self-certified its adherence to the EU-US principles on data protection “Privacy shield”, that ensures the safeguards and protection as required by European legislation on data protection.

If you do not consent with the future transfer of your data to Google while using Google Maps, it is possible to deactivate the Google Maps service by deactivating JavaScript in your browser. In this case you will be unable to use Google Maps and the map view on this website.

YouTube
This website uses the YouTube embedding functions for display and playback of videos offered by YouTube, YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, that is affiliated with Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). The extended data protection mode is used to ensure, according to provider information, that user information will only be stored once the playback function of the video is started. When the playback function of embedded YouTube videos is started, the provider sets YouTube cookies in order to collect information on users. According to indications from YouTube, the use of those cookies is intended to record video statistics, to improve user-friendliness and to avoid improper actions.

If you are logged into a Google account, your data will be mapped to your account, as soon you activate the video. If you do not want the mapping to your profile on Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as profiles and evaluates the data, even if you have no user account or are not logged in.

The processing of your data is based on Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR for purposes of the legitimate interests of YouTube and Google of advertising, market research and tailoring its site. You have a right to object against processing data from user profiles, that you must apply to YouTube.

Regardless of whether the embedded video is played, a connection to the Google network "double click" is established when visiting this website. This may lead to further processing of your data. Google processes your personal data in the United States and has self-certified its adherence to the EU-US principles on data protection "Privacy shield", that ensures the safeguards and protection as required by European legislation on data protection.

6. Contact Form

When you send us requests using the contact form, your data, including the contact information you provide, will be used by us, based on Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR, to process your inquiry as well as any follow-up inquiries. If your request aims to enter into a contract the further processing is based on Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR. The data you provided by means of the contact form can be used to promote our products by letter post (see also clause Advertising by Letter Post). We will not disclose this information without your permission to third parties.

7. Newsletter

If you subscribe to our email newsletter, we will send you regular information and offers regarding our products and services. The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your e-mail address. The indication of additional possible data is voluntary and is used to be able to address you personally.

To subscribe to our Newsletter, we use a “double opt-in” process. This means that we will not send you an e-mail newsletter, unless you have expressly confirmed to us that you agree to the sending of the newsletter. We will then send you a confirmation e-mail asking you to confirm that you wish to receive future newsletters by activating a link.

By activating the link you give us permission to use your personal data in accordance with article 6 (1) (a) GDPR. When you register for the newsletter, we store your IP address entered by the Internet Service Provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration so that we can trace any possible misuse of your e-mail address at a later time. The data collected by us when registering for the newsletter will be used exclusively for the purpose of advertising by means of the newsletter.

You may unsubscribe the newsletter at any time without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs in accordance with the basic tariffs. We do not charge any fees and expenses. Therefore every newsletter has a link to unsubscribe the newsletter. After activating the link your email address is removed from the distribution-list immediately.

8. Advertising by Letter Post

Based on our legitimate interests to process personal data for direct marketing, we reserve – provided we got the respective data from you – to store your full name, your address and title, academic grade and your professional title, sector or business description in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR and use them to send you interesting offers and information regarding our own products and services via letter post. You may object to the use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a notice to the Controller without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs in accordance with the basic tariffs. We do not charge any fees and expenses.

9. Duration of the Retention of Personal Data

We delete personal data, which is no longer needed for the purpose, to which it was collected and processed. Beyond that date we only store data to comply with regulations of the European Union or relevant regulations of a member state of the European Union.

10. Rights of the Data Subject

As person, subject to data procession, you have the right of access (Article 15 GDPR), right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR), right to erasure (Article 17 GDPR), right to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR) and right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR). You are also entitled to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR).

You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you, which is based on point (e) or (f) of Article 6 (1) GDPR (processing of personal data in the public interest or based on legitimate interests). If you object we will no longer process the personal data unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Where we rely on your consent as the legal basis for processing your personal data, you may withdraw your consent at any time. A further processing of these informations on another legal basis remains possible, e.g. to meet legal obligations.

11. Objection to Advertising Mail

The use of contact data, disclosed as part of the legal obligations applicable to the Imprint, for purposes of transmitting advertising and informational materials not expressly requested, is hereby rejected. The operators of these pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the case of unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example spam emails.

12. Audio and Video Conferences

Data processing

To communicate with our customers we use, among other things, online conference tools. Details of the tools we use are listed below. If you communicate with us by video or audio conference via the Internet, your personal data is collected and processed by us and by the provider of the respective conference tool.

During these sessions, the conference tools collect all data you provide/use for using the tool (email address and/or your telephone number). In addition, the conference tools process the duration of the conference, the start and end (time) of participation in the conference, the number of participants and other “context information” associated with the communication process (meta data).

The provider of the tool also processes all technical data required for handling the online communication. This includes, without being limited to, IP addresses, MAC addresses, device IDs, device type, type and version of the operating system, client version, camera type, microphone or speaker, and the type of connection.

If any content is exchanged, uploaded or provided in any other way within the tool, such content is also stored on the servers of the tool providers. Such content includes, without being limited to, cloud recordings, chat/instant messages, voicemails, uploaded photos and videos, files, whiteboards, and other information shared while using the service.

Please note that we do not have full influence on the data processing procedures of the tools used. Our possibilities largely depend on the corporate policy of the respective provider. For further information on data processing by the conference tools please refer to the privacy policies of the tools used listed below this text.

Purpose and legal basis

The conference tools are used for communicating with future or existing contractual partners and/or to offer certain services to our customers (Art. 6(1)(1)(b) of the GDPR). In addition, the tools are used for the general simplification and acceleration of the communication with us and our company (legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6 (1)(f) of the GDPR). In the event consent has been requested, the use of the corresponding tools is based on such consent. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future.

Storage period

The data collected by us directly via the video and conference tools will be deleted from our systems as soon as you request us to delete it or revoke your consent to storage, or if the purpose for which the data was stored no longer applies. Cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. Mandatory legal retention periods remain unaffected.

We have no influence on the storage period of your data stored by the operators of the conference tools for their own purposes. For further details please contact the operators of the conference tools directly.

Skype for Business

We use Skype for Business. The provider is Skype Communications SARL, 23-29 Rives de Clausen, L-2165 Luxembourg. Skype is certified in accordance with the EU-US Privacy Shield. Conclusion of a contract for order processing

We have entered into a contract for order processing with the provider of Skype for Business and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Skype for Business.
